About this role
Substitute LPN Classroom Assistant
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs.
This is a classroom-based position with nursing-related responsibilities. The LPN will work alongside teachers and other school staff to help students participate safely and comfortably throughout the school day.

Responsibilities
- Assist students with feedings, including G-tube feedings and feeding by mouth.
- Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
- Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
- Support students with activities throughout the school day.
- Follow each student’s established care plan and all safety procedures.
- Observe students and promptly communicate health-related concerns to the appropriate school staff.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, nurses, and other members of the school team.
- Maintain each student’s dignity, safety, comfort, and privacy.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
- Experience with G-tube feeding is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility, and transfer assistance.
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and able to work effectively in a classroom environment.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.
Position Details
- Pay: $34.00 an hr.
- Hours: 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
- MUST have PEDS Experience
- PRN/substitute classroom coverage
- Classroom-based school setting
