About this role
*Overview* Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse and make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse medical settings. This vital role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing expert nursing services that promote health, recovery, and well-being. We are a new mental health care facility in Weatherford, looking for a full time RN.
*Responsibilities*

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine care needs.
- Administer medications and injections with precision, medication management aligned with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and wound suturing when necessary.
- Collaborate with other teams for complete patient care regarding medication management.
- Support patients’ emotional well-being through health coaching, pain management strategies including acute pain control, and family education on treatment plans.
*Skills*
- Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for efficient documentation.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology to accurately assess patient conditions and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Experience working in diverse settings such as hospital medicine units (medical-surgical), outpatient clinics (urgent care), long-term facilities (nursing homes), assisted living communities or home & community care environments.
- Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law related to occupational health cases; familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation is preferred.
