About this role
Fresh Winds is a provider agency providing support for individuals with developmental disabilities to empower them to live the lives they choose. Supports are provided solely in the community and are directed by the interests, needs, and aspirations of each individual. We are looking for a qualified and caring person to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) who would be responsible for assisting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Job Summary - Coordinate healthcare for the Individuals we serve and provide staff training and direct intervention to meet the health care needs of the Individuals, as required in Missouri's HCBS waiver. Responsibilities include providing nursing and wellness coordination, serving as a liaison and advocate with physicians, psychiatrists & consultants, implementing & training staff on health related policies, responding to on-call & emergency medical situations, managing clients' medical files and documentation, participating in ISP and other meetings, performing monthly and annual nursing assessments and developing health risk plans, and performing face-to-face assessments.
