About the Position
This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Take and record vital signs; measure and record intake and output; and give routine care to pre and postoperative and pre and postpartum patients., Assist patients in walking, moving, and changing positions and prevent obstruction, dislodgement and unnecessary movement of drainage, suction, and parenteral fluid apparatus., Set up equipment and instruments and hand instruments to physician as required during examinations and treatment of patients., Provide personal care to include bathing, shaving, feeding, rubbing backs, and making equipment and supplies available to patient such as bedpans, linen, and grooming items., Provide patient care as assigned to include documentation of nursing activities in patients' records, as appropriate.

Experience
Six months of general experience (1) any type of work that demonstrates my ability to perform the work of the position, or (2) experience that provided a familiarity with nonprofessional nursing care, such as performing work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other medical, nursing or patient care facility AND at least six months of Specialized Experience which is equivalent to the GS-03 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing personal nursing care, such as, feeding, bathing, or transporting patients; maintaining patient medical records; and obtaining vital signs or specimens from patients. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-03). OR
Education
