Responsibilities

  • Provide hospital-wide nursing supervision across ED, ICU, MedSurg and other areas as needed
  • Lead code management, rapid response and crisis intervention efforts
  • Coordinate patient transfers to higher levels of care and oversee post-procedure care as assigned
  • Ensure infection control practices, regulatory compliance (DPH, TJC, OSHA) and patient safety across units
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and staffing coverage

Requirements

  • Active Oregon RN license (license submission allowed if pending per policy)
  • BLS and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience with ED or critical care exposure
  • Previous House Supervisor or cross-unit leadership experience preferred; acceptable: experienced Charge RN willing to work across units
  • Must have a vehicle for assignment; ability to float within hospital and to affiliate facilities
  • Pre-start modules required (average ~16 hours); 2 references covering 1 year of recent work within last 3 years; must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, New Year’s Day)
