- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions and injections, following strict aseptic techniques.
- Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding management, and wound care with precision.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic and Cerner to document patient information thoroughly and accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs.
- Conduct patient education on medication management, discharge instructions, and health coaching strategies.
- Respond swiftly to acute pain or emergent situations using critical care protocols and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with current registration; experience working in hospital or acute care settings preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing, including trauma medicine, ICU experience, or Level I/II trauma center background preferred.
- Skills in complex clinical procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, ventilator management, and aseptic technique.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medication administration protocols.
- Prior experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong critical thinking skills combined with excellent communication abilities to ensure optimal patient assessment and safety.
