About this role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager to support injured workers throughout the San Diego metropolitan area. This field-based role focuses on coordinating medical care, collaborating with providers and employers, and supporting timely, safe return-to-work outcomes. The ideal candidate is highly independent, clinically strong, and experienced in workers’ compensation case management.
Key Responsibilities
Independently assess injured workers’ medical conditions and develop coordinated treatment plans
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, employers, and insurance professionals to support recovery and return-to-work

Serve as a liaison and advocate for injured workers throughout the case lifecycle
Coordinate and attend medical appointments as needed within the San Diego area
Recommend job duty modifications based on medical restrictions and functional capacity
Ensure compliance with California workers’ compensation regulations, HIPAA, and organizational policies
Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders
Prepare accurate and timely case documentation and monthly progress reports
Exercise independent clinical judgment on complex cases and evolving treatment plans
Participate in client meetings, account in-services, and occasional industry events
Qualifications
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
Prior RN case management experience required (workers’ compensation strongly preferred)
Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification preferred
Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices
Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, occupational health, or workers’ compensation settings
Ability to work independently in a field-based role
Strong time management, documentation, and communication skills
Multilingual skills a plus
