About this role
LPN’s role requires knowledge, compassion, being a team player and customer service skills.
LPN’s have specific jobs to do. They are also responsible for the care of the residents by initiating and following individualized plan of care for long- and short-term residents at a Skilled Nursing Facility. Responsibilities include medication administration, treatments, vital signs, monitoring for adverse side effects, and following infection control protocols.
Responsibilities include monitoring residents’ condition. Collaborating with the Interdisciplinary team and residents attending physician. LPN is responsible for interacting with the patient’s family by reporting any changes in the residents’ health condition.
LPN supervises nursing assistants in performance of their roles in providing activities of daily living to their assigned residents. LPN should be knowledgeable in State and Federal Regulation for Long Term Care facilities.
