RN OR Circulator

• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
• Assist the surgical team during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies, as well as maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition during surgery.
• Administer medications and perform interventions as needed, including airway management and gastric lavage.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records using systems such as Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including suture care and managing potential complications.
• Provide support for patients with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the surgical process.

*Requirements*

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to surgical procedures.
• Experience working with geriatric populations is beneficial.
• Strong skills in airway management and suture techniques are essential.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, ensuring inclusive care practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration within the healthcare team.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of nursing practice.
