Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced PRN to join our team. The PRN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health conditions in an inpatient or outpatient setting. This role requires a dedicated professional who can assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with diverse psychiatric needs. Key
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and medical needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Administer medications and monitor for side effects, ensuring patient safety.
Provide crisis intervention and manage acute psychiatric episodes effectively. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatments, and wellness strategies. Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Current and unrestricted RN license in [State]. Minimum of [1-2] years of experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (as required). Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, behavioral health assessments, and crisis management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
