Registered Nurse (RN) - Nurse Residency, Medical/Surgical Nursing

Role Overview: This position involves participating in a Nurse Residency Program, completing all required coursework, clinical competencies, and professional development activities. Key Responsibilities: Gather patient data, perform assessments, and develop care plans under supervision of a licensed RN. Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care, including treatments, patient education, and discharge instructions. Record care activities, monitor patient status, and communicate changes effectively. Delegate tasks appropriately, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. Recognize and address emergency situations, advocate for patients, and respect patient rights. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with an Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Current RN license or temporary/graduate license with NCLEX eligibility. No prior experience required; candidates with more than 12 months are ineligible. Strong critical thinking, communication, and adherence to safety policies. Additional Information: This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor, with variable work shifts and location in a medical/surgical unit.
