About this role
Houston Pain and Spine is currently looking to expand and is looking for a medical assistant/ licensed vocational nurse to work in an outpatient clinical setting. Job tasks include but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to document chief compliant, hpi and plan (as directed) in an EMR
- Triage patient calls when needed
- Complete prescription refills

- Returning patient calls from the nurse's line
- Rooming patients on our 3 clinic days and obtaining medications, previous medical history and surgeries
- Sending surgical postings to facilities and coordinating special equipment for the procedures
- Assisting with in office procedures - discharges and rooming patients
- We have 2 office locations and your time will be spent 2 days at our Houston location and 1-2 days at our Woodlands, TX location. Employees will be compensated for the miles driven for the Woodlands office.

Required Education and
Experience
- Either a Medical Assistant Certificate or LVN Degree
- New Graduates are welcome to apply
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
Compensation and
Benefits
- Compensation is determined based upon experience and qualification for the position
- Health and Dental Insurance: Houston Pain and Spine does contribute to the plan for the employee only. The plan is a BCBS PPO plan.
- Paid Time off/ Holidays: PTO is available after 90 days of employment. Per calendar year, the employee is entitled to 80 hours of paid time off. Major holidays are compensated as a regular time rate.
