As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you are key in the success of operations and compassionate patient care every day.

Responsibilities

Patient Care & Service. Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervise assigned team members Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal from/to appropriate staff as per departmental protocols Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record process Preparation. Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked

Certifications

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - NYS Office of ProfessionsNew York State Education Department (NYSED)

Requirements

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns.

Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
