Responsibilities
- Accurately documents history, chief complaint, current medications, B/P, temperature and pulse of patients. Assists in implementing the patient's plan of care; accurately documenting interventions and patients response, following established protocols.
- Assists the Physician or Nurse Practitioner in assessing the patient's physical and psychosocial status. Assists the Physician or Nurse Practitioner with the treatment of patients, appropriate documentation and follow-up for referrals.
- Complies with the scope of LPN Practice and Clinic policy in the delivery of direct patient care. Provides for patient and family learning needs and documents appropriately. Intervenes appropriately in emergency situations.
4fe Responsible for timely response to patient requests to include, but not limited to: medication refills, laboratory/x-ray reports, medical form completions.
- Functions in collaboration with the Physician/Nurse Practitioner in treatment, procedures, utilization of equipment and adherence to established clinic policies and protocols.
- Must satisfactorily complete on an annual basis, a skills competency evaluation for applicable functions performed in the clinic setting.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Current License in the State of Mississippi.
Experience
One-year experience in a medical office preferred
Knowledge/
Skills
Ability to work as a team-member and without direct supervision. Proficient with medical support skills. Knowledge of state and federal requirement in health care. Ability to use computer. Courteous and polite when working with public and fellow associates. Demonstrates good communication skills.
Physical and Mental Effort: Minimal to strenuous physical exertion with some bending, stooping and lifting. Must have ability to concentrate on detailed jobs, handle interruptions and meet deadlines in a busy office situation. Moderate stress in dealing with busy office schedules and the public. Requires good communication skills, courtesy, discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Environmental and Working Conditions
Normally works in a comfortable office setting. Constant contact with the public. Subject to exposure to infectious conditions and biohazardous materials. 40 hours a week with overtime as needed.
