About this role

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our healthcare team. Bilingual(Spanish) Preferred but not requried. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to, children, and adolescents, ensuring their comfort and well-being during treatment and providing guidance and supervision of inhome caretakers. This role requires strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of pediatric care standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals.

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3pm-7pm

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor the health status of pediatric patients, including vital signs and symptoms.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records.
  • Provide support for patients undergoing hospice palliative medicine or home community care.
  • Assist in inpatient settings, including Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) when necessary.
  • Stay informed about current standards in pediatric nursing practice and workers' compensation law.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with botulinum toxin treatment protocols is a plus.
  • Understanding of systems related to working with people with disabilities.
  • Ability to provide senior care within a pediatric context.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on emotional support for children and their families.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient needs efficiently.
