RN, ICU Nurse (FT / Night Shift)

Operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors while ensuring proper aseptic techniques. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment strategies and respond swiftly to emergencies. Document patient progress accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or Epic, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Assist in invasive procedures including catheterizations, suturing, and specimen collection while adhering to strict infection control protocols. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medication administration, and post-discharge care instructions. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives by adhering to NCQA standards and hospital policies for patient safety and care excellence.

SkillsExtensive critical care experience within ICU settings, including Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized units such as PICU or Neonatal ICU. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic for accurate documentation and order entry. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and diagnostic evaluation relevant to acute care medicine.

Skilled in airway management, IV insertion, medication administration, and ventilator management. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is advantageous. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, laboratory testing procedures, and specimen processing.

Ability to perform complex assessments including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations under high-pressure conditions. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and emergency response protocols such as Basic Life Support (BLS). Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and providing patient-centered education.
