Nurse Educator - Registered Nurse (PT)

• Serve as assistant administrator and content creator for HealthStream or equivalent learning management systems. (EF)

• Assist with clinical case conferences and document attendance in CME Tracker. (EF)

• Issue CME Transcripts upon request.

• Teach Expanse and Glucometer classes. (EF)

• Backup support for New Hire and CNA orientations. (EF)

• Provide support in patient education, including teaching disease management, discharge instructions, and health promotion strategies. (EF)

• Assist in employee health functions, such as immunization clinics, screenings, and exposures. (EF)

• Participate in community education initiatives, including health fairs, career fairs, and other outreach events. (EF)

• Serve as a resource and ambassador for the organization in community health promotion activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational, clinical, and operational needs of the organization.

Hospital

• Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.

• Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.

• Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.

• Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times.

Minimum Requirements

Educational requirements

Required: Graduate of an accredited college, university, or school of nursing.

Experience

Required: 1- 2 years of clinical experience Preferred: Teaching experience

Special skills and abilities

Preferred: Knowledge of HealthStream, Expanse, CME Tracker, PARS, TEAMS, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Health.edu

Licensure / certification requirements

Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas , BLS Certification
