PTO accrual beginning Day 1 Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level. Job Summary A Registered Nurse in Nursing Professional Development Generalist role uses expertise to enhance healthcare methods for learners. They improve patient outcomes and their techniques. Essential Functions of the Role You will create and assess professional development programs aligned with current methodologies to promote ongoing learning. You'll identify the needs of our staff, work closely with various teams, and modify educational material to suit those needs. You will help implement education plans. You will create a positive environment to reach our goals. You'll design and assess educational activities and projects. You'll engage team members and implement evidence-based content. Use reliable methods to evaluate program outcomes. Involve learners in evaluation and adjust material based on data collected. You'll build relationships with various community education programs and weave ethics through all aspects of your educational practice. Key Success Factors Familiarity with nursing practices, standards of patient care and procedures. Comprehensive grasp of pertinent laws, regulations and standards set by accrediting agencies. Knowledgeable in the areas of health promotion, illness prevention, and healthcare terminology. A deep respect for medical and nursing ethics, and commitment to safeguarding patient confidentiality. Adaptable teaching skills that cater to diverse learning methods. Excellent communication skills with an aptitude for interacting with a varied group of people. At least (2) two years of pertinent experience is essential. (RN) Registered Nurse license and (BLS) Basic Life Support certification. If not BLS certified yet, they must obtain it within (30) thirty days of hire. PREFERRED: 5 years of NICU Nursing experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • At least 2 years of pertinent experience
  • RN License
  • BLS Certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire if not already certified)
  • Preferred: 5 years of NICU Nursing experience
