  • Lead and supervise nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
  • Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations across various care settings including acute care, long-term care, and specialized units like ICU or pediatric wards
  • Coordinate and manage patient care plans utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring accurate medical documentation and ICD coding compliance
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes in areas such as critical & intensive care, behavioral health, geriatrics, or neonatal units
  • Conduct staff training on topics including IV infusion, catheter care, sterile processing, infection control, and advanced procedures like cardiac catheterization or spinal tap
  • Manage utilization review and utilization management processes to ensure appropriate resource use while maintaining quality standards
  • Ensure nursing policy compliance, manage care facility teams effectively, and supervise case management activities for diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia

*Qualifications*

  • Valid registered nurse (RN) license with current state licensure required
  • Extensive experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; ICU experience preferred
  • Proven leadership skills with previous nurse management or supervisory experience in hospital medicine or long-term care settings
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards essential
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and documentation
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform complex procedures such as venipuncture, IV insertion, catheterization, tube feeding management and ventilator support
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with excellent managerial communication skills to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS) required; additional certifications in advanced life support (ACLS), neonatal ventilator management or specialized areas are advantageous

Pay: $92,344.41 - $111,210.47 per year
