About this role
Summary/objective
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be clinically competent while delivering care to individuals we support utilizing the nursing process of collecting clinical data, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. LPNs will effectively interact with clients, significant others and other health team members while maintaining all standards of professional nursing.
Essential Functions (Job Duties)
Observe the client: Collect and document the client’s current health status and medical history. Follow orders from doctor, including but not limited to medication and injection administration Demonstrate necessary skills and knowledge to provide care for clients according to policy, procedure and division/unit specific competencies. Assume accountability and responsibility for the care of the patients within a range of settings according to each patient’s needs Comply with specific system/division/unit policy and procedure concerning safety.
Comply with Office of Mental Health (OMH), Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), Office of Persons with Development Disabilities (OPWDD) New York State and Federal regulations, laws and ethical guidelines.
