About the Role

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective infection prevention strategies, promoting a culture of vigilant infection control practices throughout the community
Conduct risk assessments and surveillance activities to identify potential infection risks and develop targeted interventions to mitigate them
Develop and maintain infection prevention policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention best practices, ensuring all staff members are equipped to prevent and manage infections effectively
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, analyzing data and implementing changes to optimize infection prevention outcomes
Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers and public health agencies to stay informed about emerging infections and potential threats
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in Missouri
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
Minimum of 2 years' experience in infection prevention, nurses' education, and/or infection control
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, residents, and families
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop effective solutions
