This position provides basic Nursing care to meet the needs of patients. This is a part time job share position. How does it get done?

The job gets done by performing tasks such as

being responsible but, not limited to, administration of all types of medications to include oral and injectable for the purpose of relieving anxiety, controlling behavior and treating physical problems, recording patient vitals, monitoring medical equipment and assisting patients with daily personal hygiene care. Incumbent will chart medications and document the patient's response to medication. Who are the customers?

Licensure as LPN or LVN.

Working Conditions

This position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in violate situations requiring crisis intervention may required.
