We are seeking an Inpatient Rehab RN , sometimes referred to as an Physical Rehabilitation Registered Nurse or Physical Rehab RN . A Physical Rehabilitation Nurse in our hospital will specialize in caring for patients recovering from acute or chronic illnesses, injuries, or surgeries that require rehabilitation services. These nurses help patients regain independence, improve their physical and functional abilities, and adapt to new health circumstances.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to)

P rovide direct care to patients recovering from medical conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, amputations, chronic diseases or other conditions M onitor patients’ medical status, vital signs, responses to rehabilitation therapies; along with administration of medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as needed A ssist patients with exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and eating, in coordination with physical therapists and occupational therapists T each patients to use assistive devices, such as walkers, prosthetics, or wheelchairs E ducate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and long-term care strategies P articipate in discharge planning, ensuring that patients are prepared for a safe transition to home or another care setting

Qualifications

Education, experience, training

Current and valid state RN License. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. Ventilator Management experience preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
