Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including routine assessments and monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document changes and responses accurately.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans; participate in rounds and family communications.
- Perform nursing procedures, manage wound care, and support activities of daily living as appropriate.
- Uphold patient safety through falls prevention, infection control, and compliance with facility policies.
- Maintain thorough, compliant charting in the electronic health record and communicate changes promptly to the care team.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Iowa (or eligibility for licensure)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to work the day shift (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) in a fast-paced LTC setting
