We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for a 13-week contract assignment at Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, California.

Skilled Nursing Facility

The CNA will provide hands-on support and daily care to residents in a skilled nursing environment. This role is ideal for a CNA who is compassionate, attentive to residents' needs, and comfortable working as part of a long-term care team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Take and accurately record residents’ vital signs.
  • Answer resident call lights promptly and respond to resident needs.
  • Assist residents with transferring and repositioning safely between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
  • Turn and reposition residents as needed to promote comfort and maintain skin integrity.
  • Observe residents for changes in condition, including changes in skin integrity, and promptly report concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Collect and communicate information regarding residents’ conditions and treatment plans to nurses and other healthcare providers.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable resident care environment.
  • Change bed linens and restock supplies as needed.
  • Provide compassionate support and respectful care to residents and their families.
  • Follow individualized care plans and facility policies.
  • Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, providers, families, and other members of the long-term care team.

Requirements

Required

  • Current and active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum 1 year of CNA experience in SNF setting and acute care setting within the last 3 years.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a skilled nursing environment
  • Strong communication skills in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
  • Ability to understand and carry out resident care plans and ADLs
