*Nurse Supervisor - Nights*
The Nurse Supervisor provides supervision of all patient care areas I the hospital. The Nurse Supervisor is required to have a working knowledge of hospital and nursing policies and procedures and the ability to apply independent judgement in their interpretation. The Nurse Supervisor duties include the provision of managerial and clinical links between the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse manager and department direction in their absence. The Nurse Supervisor promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The Nurse Supervisor also meets the requirements and essential functions of the Registered Nurse as indicated below:
The Nurse Supervisor assumes primary leadership accountability and responsibility for milieu management and directing patient care activities of other nursing staff. The Nurse Supervisor maintains standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, other external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
