About this role
As charge nurse you are delegated to the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Responsible to Director of Nursing. Duties include counting controlled substances, making assignments, receiving shift reports, evaluating resident health status, administering meds and treatments, providing direct supervision of nurses and CNAs, communicating with physicians, monitoring ancillary departments, ensuring crash cart readiness, ensuring compliance with infection control practices, coordinating nursing care with ancillary services, and performing other duties as assigned by DON.
