About this role
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in the emergency room at Parkridge Medical Center. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities include assessing patient pain regularly, performing procedures and monitoring as ordered, documenting care in the patient medical record, responding promptly to patient requests, teaching patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures, and preparing patients and families for future self-management.

Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree
