Job Description

Allied Universal® Technology Services is hiring a Security Installation Technician II to perform installations of electronic security systems and work independently and along with other technicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in all installations.

Responsibilities

Install, program and configure electronic security systems for commercial clients, including, door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and other security systems Troubleshoot, evaluate, diagnose, integrate new and existing installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and meets industry standards Run electrical wiring, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation

Qualifications (must have)

High school diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle Minimum of two (2) years of experience in physical security, fire alarm, low-voltage communication systems, including installing devices, troubleshooting, programming and running medium to large projects Military veterans are encouraged to apply, especially those with experience as an electronics technician or aviation technician Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific licenses as required Advanced in Microsoft Office and capable of navigating multiple systems efficiently. Skilled in interpersonal and communication skills for clear documentation and reporting. Highly skilled in troubleshooting, mechanical, and electronics skills; adept with hand and power tools Willingness to handle "on-call" duties, respond to emergency service requests, and travel overnight as needed.

Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete tasks and meet deadlines Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at various ladder heights

Preferred qualifications (nice to have)

Experience in the electronic security industry Experience with any of the following: Software House, CCURE, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacqvision, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI
