Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice, and comfortable managing a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients of all ages presenting with urgent and acute conditions
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, I&D, splinting, and wound care
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, etc.)
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in alignment with evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the EMR
- Educate patients and families on care plans, prevention, and follow-up needs
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in MI
- Board Certified (FNP, AGNP, or PA-C)
- Current DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
