Licensed Practical Nurse - Quick start

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team with a quick start opportunity. Duties

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following prescribed protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, wound suturing, and sterile technique practices.
• Monitor patients’ conditions closely, including managing acute pain, respiratory support with ventilators, and airway management in various settings like hospitals or skilled nursing facilities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and long-term care regulations.
• Provide patient education on medication management, health coaching, and post-discharge instructions to promote recovery and independence.

Skills

• Valid LPN license with current state certification; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and IV certification preferred.
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient medical records management.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
• Proven ability to perform clinical procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, catheter care, and specimen collection/processing.
• Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable; experience in emergency medicine or urgent care is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver communication and client interaction across various healthcare environments.
• Familiarity with infection control practices, HIPAA confidentiality policies, and long-term care regulations to ensure safe and compliant patient care.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
