Required: · CT Registered Nurse Licensure. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience. One year of RN Labor and Delivery experience (preferred). BLS certification required. Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire. Successful completion of STABLE Neonatal Program within six months of hire. Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred
Hours : 36 hours Work Shift: 6:45am - 7:15pm, every other weekend, on call rotation
Job
Summary
Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities.
