About this role

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. URMC has the privilege of opening a 40 bed, newly renovated long term care unit at St. Johns Nursing home. This unit will accept alternate level of care (ALC) patients from hospitals within the URMC system.
