Administers patient care in an inpatient setting for patients with advanced illness or injury requiring timely, intense, and complex care. Provides critical nursing care including complex assessment, therapies, high-intensity interventions, and continuous vigilance. Monitors specialized equipment (intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac monitors, ventilators).

Responds to life-saving situations, develops individualized care plans, and serves as preceptor, charge nurse, or unit educator. Requires graduate of approved school of nursing, current Florida RN license or eNLC multistate RN license, current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification, ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC for certain areas, and minimum one year RN experience.
