About this role
Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Procedural Registered Nurse II (RN) is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a range of settings focused on cardiovascular catheterization laboratory (Cath Lab) or interventional radiological care. The Procedural RN will perform a range of clinical tasks including moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, temporary pacing, cardioversion/defibrillation, and medication administration, including drips. The Procedural RN will also be responsible for setup and initiation of intra-aortic balloon pump support.
Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.

Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states required by first date of clinical care
- Five (5) years of experience working in a catheterization (Cath Lab) setting in a Registered Nurse (RN) role
- Must have experience performing the circulator and monitoring role in a cath lab setting
- Experience caring for patients with ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) with or without cardiogenic shock
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required by first date of clinical care
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required by first date of clinical care
- Preferred: Experience working in critical or emergency care in a Registered Nurse (RN) role
- Preferred: Seven (7) years of experience working in an acute care setting in a Registered Nurse (RN) role
