Day to day: coordinate and complete work assignments for LPNs, Nurse Assistants, and Unit Clerks On assigned shift, responsible for the coordination of and completion of work assignments for LPNs, Nurse Assistants and/or Unit Clerks.
Day to day: provide safe, individualized patient care using knowledge and situational awareness Utilizes a combination of knowledge, experience and situational awareness to provide safe, high quality, individualized care to patients.
Day to day: design holistic plan of care in collaboration with peers and providers
Day to day: delegate within legal parameters and escalate for further intervention when needed

Position Summary

The registered nurse is responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care to assigned patients to include assessment, implementation, coordination, teaching, consulting and evaluation of patient care. Enhances quality and professionalism of nursing practice, attains knowledge and competency, and participates in shared decision making. On assigned shift, responsible for the coordination of and completion of work assignments for LPNs, Nurse Assistants and/or Unit Clerks.

Minimum Qualifications

Work Experience

Previous RN experience preferred.

Education

Graduate of a school of nursing required.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

Kentucky RN license (OR) RN license in a State recognized by the Kentucky Nurse Licensure Compact Act required effective June 1, 2007.
