Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a school health or pediatric environment preferred
  • Familiarity with individualized health care plans and school health protocols
  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, and emergency response abilities
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and parents
  • Adaptability to work across multiple school locations

Key

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily student health needs, including chronic condition support and first aid
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician and district guidelines
  • Respond quickly to health emergencies and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation
  • Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with administrators on COVID-19 protocols and other public health measures
  • Support the transition and onboarding process of new or returning school nursing staff
