Registered Nurse OR PRN

What you will do in this role

Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situation Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients Assess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the OR Assess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment Keep the operating room sterilized Review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care

Requirements

Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start Minimum 1 year previous perioperative experience or completion of Perioperative Nursing course preferred 1 year of RN experience in an Acute Care environment preferred BSN is preferred ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare provider) required within 6 months of start CNOR preferred

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is a 238-bed acute care hospital. For 40 years, we have served Bay County and the surrounding communities. We are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care.

This includes advanced cardiac assessment and treatment. We offer certified women's services. Our hospital has dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services.

We are certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care. Our hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center. We are the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation.

Other services that we offer include orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac, vascular, and interventional services. We are home to the only Pediatric ER in the community. We have the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region.
