Travel RN - Medical ICU

Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Aug 28, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and a CT or compact RN license.

Details Work in a 10-bed Medical ICU within a short-term acute care hospital Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30 Required to work every other weekend Floating required as needed Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CT or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required (1.5 years considered if Level I Trauma or prior travel experience) Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Epic EMR experience required Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration Experience caring for ventilated patients, including HFNC and suctioning Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Knowledge of IV insulin protocols and continuous IV sedation/paralytics 1 professional reference required for consideration
