Job Summary

Professional registered nurse gives direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients while preparing for intra-operative experience. The nurse in the pre-op role coordinates the care of the patient and is the patient advocate throughout the pre-operative experience.

Plan of care is individualized to include specific patient problems and needs. Implements nursing education assessment on assigned patients. Evaluates the patient’s response to nursing interventions and teaching. Demonstrates leadership skills

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

Florida R. N. licensure Basic Life Support

Minimum Experience

One year med/surgical experience preferred.
