Develops and facilitates the overall training program and orientation of newly hired clinicians and provides intermittent support for existing staff. Additionally works with Education Department for development and oversight of preceptor ship of new nursing hires not participating in the Immersion program. Oversight of orientees includes designing individualized education plans, maintaining records, managing schedules, demonstrating home visits and skills, providing support, observing and providing feedback, facilitating education rounds, and leading orientee meetings. Oversight of preceptor includes coordination and schedule management. Ensures continuous improvement of existing staff through individualized education opportunities. Professional responsibilities include maintaining learning tools on SharePoint, facilitating regional orientation workshops, maintaining competencies, ensuring compliance, and performing related duties.

Requirements

  • Graduate of NLN-approved BSN program
  • Three years clinical experience
  • CT RN License
  • Ability to travel within the region
  • Master's Degree (preferred)
  • Home care, clinical training and education background (preferred)
  • OASIS Certification (preferred)
