Cedar Ridge Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for an evening-shift contract position. The CNA will provide direct resident care in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment and work closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary team. Cedar Ridge Center is a 74-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Skowhegan.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Take and document vital signs as directed.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and maintaining resident safety.
- Assist residents with meals and hydration.
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies.
- Protect resident privacy, dignity, rights, and confidentiality.
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents and their families.
- Work collaboratively with RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements
- Current and active Maine CNA certification required.
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate resident care.
- Ability to work the assigned evening shift .
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
