About this role
The Registered Nurse RN ICU conducts comprehensive patient assessments, monitor patient conditions, and prioritize care needs based on physical, psychosocial, and clinical findings. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and nursing procedures safely and accurately while adhering to established clinical policies and standards.
Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, discharge planning, and self-care practices to support recovery and ongoing wellness. Document patient assessments, interventions, treatments, and responses accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care. Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and promote positive outcomes.
Advocate for patient safety, rights, and quality care by maintaining a safe environment and participating in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
