Inova Fairfax Hospital - Schar Heart and Vascular is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor to join the Cardiac Telemetry team. This role will be full-time; day shifts will vary. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available for eligible nurses. Conducts high quality shift huddles, safety huddles, rounds on staff, reviews core measures and KPIs, participates in emergency and safety preparedness drills, ensures adherence to The Joint Commission standards, contributes to quality improvement, and serves as role model in patient communication.
Requirements
BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if ADN, must be within one year of completing BSN
Minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start
Specialty certification (as required by unit) within one year from date of hire
Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within the first 90 days of employment
Prior Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Telemetry, or Medical Surgical Telemetry experience highly preferred
