The New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute provides care to New Mexicans across six different divisions including hospital level inpatient psychiatric care for both civil and forensic commitments, residential treatment for adolescents, outpatient care for people with behavioral health disorders, detox and residential substance use treatment, and skilled/long-term care. As the largest behavioral health complex in the state, inpatient/residential care is provided to over 250 New Mexicans every day, along with 400 outpatient clients a month. There are over 600 employees across all the divisions of NMBHI to ensure high-quality treatment and care is delivered.

Nurses at long-term care ensures that all residents receive high quality care and treatment. Nurses provide all aspects of nursing care to the residents. The residents at Meadows come from across the state and need assistance with activities of daily living. The nurses help directly provide care and also provide guidance and support to the CNAs on the shift. The nurses are integral members of the treatment team and participate in multidisciplinary standards. All care provided is based on evidence-based standards and in accordance with Joint Commission, state licensing, and CMS regulations. How does it get done?
Provide all aspects of nursing care to residents. Work with providers to process orders. Document in the electronic health record. Participate in treatment team and staffing meetings. Who are the customers?

Must possess and maintain a valid NM Drivers License.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
