Functions and Responsibilities
- Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
- Provides nursing services, treatments and diagnostic and preventive procedures as assigned.
- Teaches and counsels the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of observations, treatments and care of patient.
- Attends staff meetings and/or IDG conferences an in-services as scheduled.
- Assists the patient/family in learning appropriate self-care techniques.
Position requirements
- Active, unrestricted California RN license — REQUIRED
- Minimum 1 of years of direct Hospice agency experience (must be reflected on resume) REQUIRED
- Current CPR certification — REQUIRED
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license — REQUIRED
- Weekend availability — REQUIRED
