- The IVF Nurse Coordinator is responsible for providing nursing care to NDFC patients through treatment coordination, medication management, patient advocacy, and outcome monitoring
- This position collaborates closely with the physicians to coordinate patient care and treatment and consult with patients regarding treatment protocols, medications, and/or required testing procedures
- Assess patients' medical histories, reproductive health, and any underlying conditions that may impact fertility and ensure appropriate data is entered in EMR
- Collaborate with physicians to determine suitable treatment plans for individual patients
- Educate patients on the IVF process, procedures, infertility testing, insemination, in vitro fertilization, FET, and egg vitrification, etc., medications, potential side effects, lifestyle factors that may affect treatment success
- Guide patients on how to self-administer medications and monitor progress; adjust medication dosages based on patients' responses and communicate any concerns to the medical team
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, diagnostic tests, and procedures, and ensure all consents are signed and patients adhere to the treatment timeline
- Monitor established pregnancies via ultrasonography and lab tests, through the first weeks of pregnancy
- Serve as a liaison between patients and the medical team, relaying vital information, test results, and treatment instructions; answering any questions or concerns promptly. Ensure patients understand results, discuss potential reasons for failure, and explore alternative treatment options or modifications to the treatment plan
Monday - Thursday; 8:00am - 5:00pm; Fridays 8:00am – Noon; possible weekend and holiday rotations
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, from an accredited school of nursing required
- Current State Registered Nurse license (without limitations) required
- Active BLS certification required
- Employees should have the visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, and operation of standard office machines and equipment.
