  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or memory impairments by implementing tailored approaches that promote safety and comfort in a assisted living settings.
  • Maintain a safe environment by practicing safe lifting practices, adhering to infection control standards, and utilizing patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by the state licensing board.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including long-term care residents or individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS/CPR).
  • Prior experience in settings such as nursing homes, hospice care, or home & community care is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while maintaining patient safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills for caregiving interactions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
