About this role
Communicates effectively with patients, family members, staff and physicians Have a working knowledge of the overall nursing functions and responsibilities related to the ambulatory care environment. Must possess compassion and empathy with patients Must have the ability to perform duties with little to no supervision Implements and monitors patient care plans. Obtains patients medical history, including medications, surgeries, vital signs IVs and symptoms requiring further evaluation for procedure preparation.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate in Pre-op and recovery environment. Serves as a primary coordinator of disciplines for patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates post procedure recovery and discharge. Administers medications per physician orders. Potential for conscious sedation during procedures.
Must be professional, cooperative and pleasant as is representative of our center. Ability to work at other locations and overtime as needed Must be open to cross training and learning other areas as needed

Requirements
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with an RN degree and Active License. BLS mandatory ACLS preferred. May obtain within 6 months of hire.
Experience
Preferably one year experience in an ASC setting. Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
