About this role
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on individualized needs within a fast-paced clinical environment. This role collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure timely, safe, and effective delivery of emergency care consistent with hospital standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
Current Wyoming RN license
ACLS, PALS, TNNC Certification required within 6 months of hire

- Provide immediate assessment, triage, and care for patients presenting to the Emergency Department with urgent and emergent conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures while monitoring patient response and documenting care accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated, high quality patient care.
- Recognize and respond rapidly to life threatening situations, performing CPR and initiating emergency protocols as necessary.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and Joint Commission requirements.
- Utilize appropriate equipment and technology safely and effectively.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions, promoting understanding and continuity of care.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement activities, staff meetings, and ongoing education.
- Support the orientation and mentoring of new staff and students as assigned.
- Behave and dress in a professional and courteous manner consistent with the facilities Standards of Behavior.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
